Admissions
UCF's College of Medicine (COM) is set to become the nation’s premier medical school born in this century. As a new medical school, the COM will offer opportunities to students in the Charter Class that are not available at any other medical school. UCF’s M.D. Program will allow students to prepare for careers in every discipline of medicine and to focus on an individualized area of study or research. In addition to the individualized program, the basic sciences are integrated with the clinical sciences with real patient contact at COM facilities in the Orlando area. Patients will be part of the program from day one. Our Charter Class will be selected with care by the Office of Admissions and will become a part of the history and legacy of the COM. COM Student Financial Services will ensure that each student of the Charter Class will receive a full tuition scholarship with living expenses for all four years. This is an unprecedented opportunity in the history of medical education.
The UCF College of Medicine consists of the M.D. Program and academic degrees within the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences (BSBS). For information and admissions to Ph.D., Masters, and Bachelor ’s degree programs offered by the BSBS, please visit www.biomed.ucf.edu

We’re on target, on time.
Numerous organizations and associations are involved in the voluntary regulation of medical education in the United States. The primary accreditation organization for undergraduate medical education is the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). The LCME (www.lcme.org ) is the nationally recognized accrediting authority for medical education programs leading to the M.D. degree in U.S. and Canadian medical schools. The LCME is sponsored by the Association of American Medical Colleges and the American Medical Association. All state licensing boards in the United States require graduation from an LCME-accredited school to be eligible for licensure as an allopathic physician.
